Summer Children’s trail – FREE to enjoy and with a prize at the end. July 20th until September 1st.

Our children’s trail for the summer is “Hunt the Seaside Thimble”.

Hunt all around the museum, find all the thimbles and discover what made each of these British seaside town famous in Victorian times.

Complete a map and then claim your prize.

This is a FREE activity for our younger Museum visitors. It is included in the regular admission price and  offered during normal Museum opening hours from 20th July until 1st September 2019.

All admission tickets are annual; so you can return as many times as you like within the 12 months.

Children’s colouring competition

We are running this competition throughout the summer months.

To enter the colouring competition you need to get hold of a copy of the competition picture.

It’s a picture of a Somerset miner celebrating 20 years of Radstock Museum in the Radstock Old MarkeT Hall.

Either download it HERE and then print it out or collect a copy  from the Museum (when we are open) or from the Museum Stall at any of the Village Days which we are attending over the summer.

Once you have your copy colour it in with your very best work.

Be sure to clearly label your colouring in with your own name, your age and give an adult contact number.

Then bring it in to the Museum (if the Museum is closed please post it through the letter box). The competition is FREE to enter but a small donation for the Museum would be appreciated.

At the end of the summer we shall collect together all the entries for judging.

Entries will be judged in two age groups: children up to 7 years old and 7 years old and over.

The winners and their parents will be invited to a Birthday Tea at the Museum and they will receive a small prize.
