Just in time for the wet summer school holidays our do-it-yourself money box kit, price just £1:00, for children to colour and assemble into a model of the Market Hall building. All you need are colouring pens, scissors and glue.
We expect them to sell fast as they are really good fun to make.
The design was done by Catherine Brown (some of whose ancestors were coal miners -the Dando family), who is connected to Radstock Museum through Susie Daniels, daughter of the former chairman of the Museum, Richard Maggs.
Susie Daniels approached Catherine 7 or 8 years ago with an idea to create a collecting box in memory of her father, to help raise funds for the Museum. The original fully coloured box was Catherine’s first commissioned work before going to study Graphic Communication and Illustration at Loughborough University. She has very kindly used her original design to produce this new kit to be sold in aid of the Museum.
