The MUSEUM SHOP specialises in publications relating to the heritage of the area: we stock over 200 titles in the following specialist areas: Coalmines, Mining and Local Industries; Children’s books; Local People and Places; Railways and Canals; Somerset; Walks and Maps; Wartime.
We keep several ranges of greetings cards by local artists, gifts, pocket money toys, and souvenir items that will remind you of your special visit.
You can browse and buy in the Museum Shop any time that the Museum is open and without paying for admission to the Museum.
The TEA ROOM is adjacent to the shop and is open during Museum opening hours for a selection of refreshments including speciality teas, good coffee, Somerset cream teas and homemade cakes.
The tea room has a special railway ambience and free Wi Fi for its customers.
It is similarly open to non-museum visitors and welcomes walkers and cyclists.
(There are bike racks just opposite the Museum entrance).
The museum has full disabled access including a lift to the upper galleries.
There is some designated disabled parking outside the Museum.
